Join me for a two-day Botanical Art Workshop painting Spring Flowers @ BLOCK T Studios, Dublin 8.
Learn the watercolour techniques (wet-in-wet, glazing and drybrush) needed to capture the delicacy of spring blossoms.
We will begin with observational drawing and tonal studies, and then focus on how to use colour to convey realistic light and form.
The workshop will include demonstrations of the painting techniques needed, as well as practical advice on how to set up botanical subjects for painting, how to choose the right colours, and how to finish and present your artwork.
Whether you are a beginner or simply wish to improve your painting skills, this friendly and informal class will inspire you to pick up your brushes and enjoy the first blossoms of spring.
