Brief: To design a suitable image to be used as a logo for the All Ireland Pollinator Plan
After discussions, it was decided that I would paint a Garden Bumblebee, Bombus hortorum on knapweed. I began by making studies of the bumblebee and knapweed flowers, before beginning the design. The All Ireland Pollinator Plan was launched in 2015 and the cover image can be seen on brochures, signage, guides and the www.pollinator.ie website.
